- b3tWhy get a lot of...tDarkhawkthpf2s3c11 WHY GET A LOT OF MEMBERS?
- f1c12 A reply by Darkhawk/IRIS
-
-
- c13The article was written by
- c12Woober/Cannabisc13, a good musician, but
- a very evil articlewriter, heh. In
- this article he did something I'm very
- grateful for. He actually wrote
- something negative about my group,
- c12IRISc13. How easy it is to make replies,
- and what a good way to get the chance
- to write more articles without coming
- up with something brilliant myself.
-
- Anyway, let's not get entirely
- unserious now. In his article, c12Woober
- c13wrote that it was stupid to have too
- many inactive members in a group, and
- that a good group should consist of
- about 20 members. And yes, that is
- pure logic, and I agree wholeheartedly
- with that, but c12Woober c13mentions some
- groups, and gives examples of their
- lives. Yes, also c12IRISc13. Hmm, he isn't
- slagging us off because we have too
- many members it seems, so it would
- seem that mentioning us in his article
- is useless, but he says some quite
- irritating things anyway. I'll quote
- and answer those now!
-
- f4c12"c11IRISc12: They had a c11lot c12of members in
- the old days. But today they have
- around 20 members. This is possibly
- the reason why they let everyone join
- them."
-
- f1c13I don't quite understand the last
- sentence, but it's true that we had
- about 70 (hehe) members in 93', before
- I was organizer, and it's true that we
- have about 20 now (17 actually), but
- the last sentence? It is written as
- if we still let everybody join, but
- that simply isn't true, else we'd soon
- get 70 members again, heh. Besides
- that, should I understand the last
- sentence as slagging off on your part?
- Naah. Maybe you mean that we let many
- members join, to pick the best, or
- what? Hmm, whatever.
-
- f4c12"But they don't live up to their
- slogan: 'When it comes to
- friendship'"
-
- f1c13Ahh, really! That is a harsh
- statement, and a very, very rash one,
- based on the "proof" you present later
- down. Besides, this has nothing (that
- I can see) to do with the headline of
- your article. Anyway, of course we
- live up to our slogan, if not we might
- as well close down our group, as this
- is the most important aspect of the
- group. Here's your "proof" of why
- we're not a friendly crew.
-
- f4c12"After spoken with some ex.c11Iris
- c12members, they told me that the
- organizer c11"Darkhawk" c12was very critic
- when he received their work. He even
- manage to say that some work hadn't
- the light size of their use! Like a
- picture which wasn't the right size.
- This could easily have been solved by
- using a converter instead of giving a
- bad response."
-
- c13Hehe, you talk of "they", and that is
- a smart thing to do, it lends it all
- more credibility that you've spoken to
- several ex. c12IRISc13'ers. In fact you've
- spoken to f2one f1former graphician from
- our group, and this isn't really much.
- So, it is probably true that there was
- something with a picture from this
- graphician, f2but f1it was a picture that
- couldn't be stretched or its palette
- converted properly without looking
- decidingly worse than the original.
- So, in the spirit of respect and
- friendship I told the graphician to
- convert it, to get the best result.
- Ahh come now, this is really proof
- that we (or atleast I) are a bunch of
- unfriendly assholes, eh? One thing,
- where I judged it best to do this, and
- the graphician didn't even complain.
- Really, he could've said something,
- but he does it to another, after he
- left c12IRISc13. Now that isn't very nice,
- but ok. And it was better to send the
- picture back, graphicians really hate
- seeing their work different from what
- they made. This is really a small
- thing I'm commenting here, but I have
- too, else some people could get the
- wrong picture of us and me, due to
- your article, which really has nothing
- to do with us, but maybe you wanted to
- include as many "examples" of your
- views as possible. Just make sure
- it's the correct examples, ok?
-
- c12"This is in no way to say that c11Iris c12is
- a bad group, but this simply explains
- my point of view."
-
- c13It sounds like it is. Anyway, your
- point was (after what I can see), that
- groups become inactive and lazy with
- too many members, and that around 20
- is the best number of members in a
- group. If this is your point, f2what
- f1has that to do with us really? Or is
- it a point to "show" that we do not
- live up to our slogan? What has that
- to do with anything else?
-
- Anyway, what a short article, but it
- was a needed reply. And, I don't hate
- you c12Wooberc13, please don't hate me now,
- ok? I just needed to defend myself
- and my group. And another thing, both
- to you and many others. c12IRIS c13is with
- capital letters dammit'!! Heh, it's
- short for f4Illi Recentes ImpereatoreS,
- f1it's not because we love to see our
- name in capital letters (not f2onlyf1,
- that is). Oki, enough cheap
- information from my side. See you in
- another reply.
